When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password. We also store data you generate while using the app, including your reading streaks, bookmarked facts, nutrient ratings, and knowledge level progress. We do not collect your name, phone number, or any payment information. We do not collect precise location data.

Your data is used exclusively to: • Personalise your daily fact feed • Track and display your reading streak and points • Remember your saved facts and ratings • Award badges based on your progress We do not use your data for advertising profiling, nor sell or licence it to third parties.

All user data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure. Data in transit is encrypted, and data at rest is encrypted. Access to your data is restricted to you through your authenticated account, and no other user can read your personal records.

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. We will fulfil deletion requests within 30 days.

We use trusted third-party services to operate the app, including cloud infrastructure for our backend and database, authentication, AI-generated content, and app delivery. No personal information is shared with these services beyond what is strictly required for authentication and app functionality.

FreshFoodFacts is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
